FAQ

How do I extract pages from a PDF?

Drop your PDF into the tool. You'll see thumbnails of every page. Click the pages you want to extract, choose whether to combine them into a single PDF or download as separate files, and click Extract.

Is it safe to extract PDF pages online?

Yes. Most online tools upload your document to a server. Apparatus processes everything locally in your browser - your PDF never leaves your device, making it safe for confidential documents.

Can I combine extracted pages into one PDF?

Yes. After selecting pages, choose 'Single PDF' to merge them into one file. The pages appear in their original order. Choose 'Separate Files' if you want each page as its own PDF.

What's the difference between Extract and Remove?

Extract keeps only the pages you select. Remove keeps everything except the pages you select. They're inverse operations - use whichever matches how you think about the task.

Will extracting change the quality of my pages?

No. Pages are copied directly from the source PDF. All text, images, vector graphics, hyperlinks, and form fields are preserved exactly as in the original.

Is there a page limit?

No artificial limits. Apparatus handles PDFs with hundreds of pages. The only constraint is your browser's available memory, which is sufficient for most real-world documents.
